She cooks meat, vegetables... and even cakes over hot coals. Her barbecue is like no other. At the Barbecue Expo in April at the Parc Floral de Paris, women pit masters, experts in cooking with fire, are taking up more and more space. As much for their image (their tattoos) as for their know-how (real and unique).
I met one of them: Laure Rizou, aka Blondie Camp BBQ. Her signature dish? A more balanced barbecue, where meat and vegetables coexist... and where even the cakes go through the embers, to the delight of the children.
I've turned this meeting into a podcast episode. «Le vrai goût des bonnes choses / Des gâteaux dans la braise», follows on from the episode devoted to my meeting with Jean Covillault about the “Juste prix” in cooking, the fact of not changing plates between courses.
